BRERETON  AND  RAVENHILL  NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN

STEERING COMMITTEE

Minutes of a meeting of the Steering Committee held in the Parish Hall, Ravenhill Park, Brereton, on 10th December 2018.

Present

An apology for absence was received from Councillor Mrs G Harvey.

  1. MR JAMES HERBERT

In welcoming Mr James Herbert to his first meeting, the Chairman gave some background on the work of the Committee and a resume of progress made to date.

  1. MINUTES

The minutes of the meeting of the Steering Committee held on 22nd October 2018, were approved and signed as a correct record.

  1. TERMS OF REFERENCE

The Committee noted a Draft Terms of Reference [copy previously circulated] which had been prepared by the Chairman and approved by the Parish Council.

  1. NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN

 

The Secretary circulated an email from Julia Blest, a Neighbourhood Planning Officer with Locality.

The Committee noted that all of the technical support packages were delivered by their consultancy partners such as AECOM.

RESOLVED

That the Secretary contact AECOM providing some background on Brereton and Ravenhill and inviting their comments on what they could offer in relation to the production of a design code.

  1. CONSULTATION ON DRAFT CONSERVATION AREA APPRAISALS AND MANAGEMENT PLANS

The Chairman outlined his intended response in respect of the following consultation documents:-

 

  1. Trent and Mersey Canal
  2. Talbot Street/Lichfield Street Rugeley

RESOLVED

That the Chairman be authorised to prepare a detailed response on behalf of the Committee.

[A copy of the response sent to the District Council is attached to these minutes.]
