BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a meeting of the Finance and Management Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill Park, Brereton, on Thursday, 3rd June 2021.
Present
Councillors Mrs DM Easton [Chairman], K Ansell, Mrs P Ansell, Alderman R Easton, Mrs G Harvey and JC Harvey. .
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors DR Johnson and Mrs L Johnson.
Mrs R Davies was also present.
- DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest given at the commencement of the meeting.
- MINUTES
RESOLVED
That the minutes of the meeting held on 5th May 2021, be approved and signed as a correct record.
- ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT
The Committee considered a schedule of accounts for payment, a copy of which had been circulated.
RESOLVED
That authority be given for the payments included on the submitted schedule.
- BUS SHELTERS
Shelutions had confirmed that they would repair the bus shelter at the same time as installing the seating in the shelter at Setterfield Way. A request was made for the Clerk to contact Shelutions to report the Committee’s concerns regarding the repair.
Alderman Easton reported to the Committee that he had repaired the bus shelter on Main Road, near to the Parish Hall.
- PARISH COUNCIL INSURANCE
The Committee noted the terms of the insurance arrangements with Zurich and the renewal premium of £1,316.61.
RESOLVED
That authority be given for the renewal premium to be paid.
- PETER DAVIES [PARISH CLERK]
The Committee discussed the question of some sort of plaque to be sited in the Parish Hall to record the date when Peter commenced work as Parish Clerk with Brereton and
Ravenhill Parish Council. Alderman Easton offered to get quotes from Estate Signs for the cost of the plaque.
Mrs Ruby Davies was asked to ascertain the date when Peter commenced his employment with the Parish Council.
